Just in case you missed me at the 2016 Wedding Trends Unveiled bridal show at The Madison Club, here is a peak at my new boudoir booth! I am so thankful for my hard working husband who helped engineer and build the display wall and my new sign. It definitely was a labor of love and I think the results look beautiful!

It was quite the whirlwind of a day starting the night before with packing everything into my mom van. A huge thank you to my mom for helping set it all up and my husband for tearing it down. During the day I got to hang out downtown Madison, have two lunches with different friends at the same place and pretend to be Marilyn Monroe because the day wasn’t exciting enough!

I am so happy that I got to talk to so many women about what a boudoir shoot can do for you. Boudoir is for everyone. I did it and so can you! Boudoir makes a great gift for you and your partner. Book your session in October or November in order to have it back in time for Christmas!

A year ago I tried boudoir photography for the first time. I was nervous. I over packed camera gear. I scrambled to quickly learn sexy boudoir poses because I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO BE SEXY….or so I thought. If Courtney was nervous, I couldn’t tell. We laughed and joked through the entire session. It was so much fun! It turns out I didn’t need to worry so much. Once I relaxed and showed poses in an over dramatic way (which I am known to do from time to time) the hot shots just keep coming!

Since then I have dived into boudoir head first. Learning all I can to be a better photographer. I have met so many wonderful women and brides to be at their boudoir sessions. I love how much the experience positively affects them. It gives them confidence and big amazing feelings about their bodies that last long after the session. Plus, it is a lot of fun to keep a secret when the photos are a surprise gift!

I am very excited to be at The Wedding Trends Unveiled show next week! If you have questions about boudoir I would love to talk to you! You can find me on the second floor near the bar. So grab some liquid courage and come on over! I’m not scary.

“I think it should be a goal of every woman to have boudoir photos taken, no matter what point she’s at in her life. It’s so empowering and I’ve never felt so sexy. Jamie did a wonderful job of making me feel comfortable and relaxed. We had so much fun & I absolutely love the images.” – CourtneyPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGE

Meet Isaac the graduate. How can this possibly be? The years have flown by so fast you don’t even see them coming or going. I first met Isaac 10 years ago, so I guess it must be true that he will be off to college in the fall.  Isaac is my husband’s youngest cousin and I was so happy to be able to take his senior portraits. We were lucky enough to find some of the last bit of fall color for his photos. This drummer boy and his band are playing a show this summer in Madison that I can’t wait to see! (Not just because it will be a date night!) Congratulations, Isaac! I am so excited to see where  the future takes you.

Last month I had the privilege of photographing Madison’s First Eco-minded, sustainable, fair trade fashion show- Ethos Madison Live! It showcased Madison’s finest fair trade shops and sustainable boutiques (Change, Evolve, Rethreads, Serrv, Upshift Swap Shop) showing off the hottest trends for spring. The location: Winedown,  was beautiful, unique, and the perfect spot for this fashion show. I hope these behind the scenes photos show a fraction of all the hard work, dedication, and team work  that went into making this show a success!

That’s a wrap.

Why would you want to do a Boudoir session?

Do it for yourself.

Celebrate your beauty.

Be beautifully you.

My clients feel amazing after their session. They feel confident, sexy, empowered and those positive feelings transfer into other parts of their life not just in the photos.

Ok, so maybe you are curious about a boudoir session. What would it really be like? I know you are thinking “I could never get in my unmentionables in front of people I barely know!” But you know what? You can and you will feel amazing about it!

I want you to feel completely comfortable and that starts the moment you enter my private studio. Our hair and make-up artists will take great care of you and get you looking your best. We will play your favorite music to get you in the groove. Then the fun starts. Don’t worry about knowing how to pose or being sexy. I will coach you. I will even demonstrate poses to the best of my ability. Most likely you will end up laughing at me for one reason or another. Then after your shoot, we will view your beautiful images and you can order your favorites that day.

Albums, image boxes and pocket albums make great gifts! Give the gift of you! Your significant other would love one for an anniversary, birthday or Valentines Day present! You will be so proud of your images you will want to show them off to everyone!

Now I invite you to take a look at some fabulous behind the scenes photos from my dear friend Addie of A&J Photography!

I would like to give a huge heart felt thank you to Sarah my wonderful subject; to Brittney for fabulous hair; to Lindsey for beautiful make-up; and Addie for taking behind the scenes photos.
