Earlier this month, my daughter Eva wrapped up her first year of dance.  They have been practicing every week since last September. Watching her learn her dance and work together with her class has really been a joy. She is looking forward to learning about tap dancing next year. She just loves her teachers at Dancing Through Life.

She was so excited for her “Big Show.” So of course I had to take a few photos at the studio before rehearsal.

This was her first time wearing make-up and she is so proud of her little make-up bag. Check out her lashes! I only put a little mascara on the top lashes and they look so long!

Just in case you missed me at the 2016 Wedding Trends Unveiled bridal show at The Madison Club, here is a peak at my new boudoir booth! I am so thankful for my hard working husband who helped engineer and build the display wall and my new sign. It definitely was a labor of love and I think the results look beautiful!

It was quite the whirlwind of a day starting the night before with packing everything into my mom van. A huge thank you to my mom for helping set it all up and my husband for tearing it down. During the day I got to hang out downtown Madison, have two lunches with different friends at the same place and pretend to be Marilyn Monroe because the day wasn’t exciting enough!

I am so happy that I got to talk to so many women about what a boudoir shoot can do for you. Boudoir is for everyone. I did it and so can you! Boudoir makes a great gift for you and your partner. Book your session in October or November in order to have it back in time for Christmas!

A year ago I tried boudoir photography for the first time. I was nervous. I over packed camera gear. I scrambled to quickly learn sexy boudoir poses because I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO BE SEXY….or so I thought. If Courtney was nervous, I couldn’t tell. We laughed and joked through the entire session. It was so much fun! It turns out I didn’t need to worry so much. Once I relaxed and showed poses in an over dramatic way (which I am known to do from time to time) the hot shots just keep coming!

Since then I have dived into boudoir head first. Learning all I can to be a better photographer. I have met so many wonderful women and brides to be at their boudoir sessions. I love how much the experience positively affects them. It gives them confidence and big amazing feelings about their bodies that last long after the session. Plus, it is a lot of fun to keep a secret when the photos are a surprise gift!

I am very excited to be at The Wedding Trends Unveiled show next week! If you have questions about boudoir I would love to talk to you! You can find me on the second floor near the bar. So grab some liquid courage and come on over! I’m not scary.

“I think it should be a goal of every woman to have boudoir photos taken, no matter what point she’s at in her life. It’s so empowering and I’ve never felt so sexy. Jamie did a wonderful job of making me feel comfortable and relaxed. We had so much fun & I absolutely love the images.” – CourtneyPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGE

Meet Isaac the graduate. How can this possibly be? The years have flown by so fast you don’t even see them coming or going. I first met Isaac 10 years ago, so I guess it must be true that he will be off to college in the fall.  Isaac is my husband’s youngest cousin and I was so happy to be able to take his senior portraits. We were lucky enough to find some of the last bit of fall color for his photos. This drummer boy and his band are playing a show this summer in Madison that I can’t wait to see! (Not just because it will be a date night!) Congratulations, Isaac! I am so excited to see where  the future takes you.

Last month I had the privilege of photographing Madison’s First Eco-minded, sustainable, fair trade fashion show- Ethos Madison Live! It showcased Madison’s finest fair trade shops and sustainable boutiques (Change, Evolve, Rethreads, Serrv, Upshift Swap Shop) showing off the hottest trends for spring. The location: Winedown,  was beautiful, unique, and the perfect spot for this fashion show. I hope these behind the scenes photos show a fraction of all the hard work, dedication, and team work  that went into making this show a success!

That’s a wrap.
